Storing information on a compact disc is something that's taken for granted these days and even the convenience of a CD server is something that nearly anyone can use to store and move massive amounts of data. Interestingly, the first CDs to come on the market that could be filled with data would store up to eighty minutes of uncompressed audio. Today, unless a CD is actually a DVD which can store much more information, the amount of data that can be placed on a CD is virtually the same. Since the introduction of digital storage and flash drives, CDs have become a less popular method of storage.
